Customer Story

This is an Ireland-based pest control service, operating from Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Meath, and across the entire Leinster area. Both residential and commercial clients hire pest control and proofing services from the firm, whose personnel have a combined 25-year experience in handling the troubles brought about by bugs and rodents.

Problem

  • Insufficient content on the website, with more relevant material needed for the target audience.
  • High bounce rate on the website is attributed to the difficulty in navigating around it.
  • Low engagement on Facebook, slowing down the growth of market share

Solution

Our work with UPC covered three aspects:
a. Website
To improve user experience, we revamped the site, creating separate pages with content targeting the different demographics of users visiting the website. We also optimized the website's functionality to better user experience, increasing load speeds and simplifying navigation between the different parts of the website. To keep the content updated and relevant, we set up a schedule of 8 monthly blogs, 2 being published directly on the website, and 6 off the site but directing traffic to it.
b. SEO
We carried out On-Page SEO, including indexing, HTTPS Redirects, removed Java script errors on the website, structured data using Schema.org, all through to ensure that there was keyword consistency across all the pages of the website and including an XML sitemap that's essentially a roadmap that points search engines to what is important on the website. The reworking was with the main goal of ensuring that the web crawlers of Google and other search engines understand the content on the website appropriately, to rank it for the relevant keywords.
c. Facebook Marketing
Our Facebook marketing team set up a campaign for the company, complete with new content generation – from the written material to accompanying graphics. The performance of the published posts used for the impact marketing was analyzed and used in setting up subsequent campaigns for the brand.

Results

Within the first 3 months, 5 of the most competitive keywords in the niche were already ranking on the top 1-3 Google searches. On Facebook, the impact marketing saw a 681% growth in people reached in under 28 days, with a 320% growth in post engagements and a 200% spike in page likes as more people interacted with the brand.
